Micron Filter Bags

The industrial micron filter bags or called liquid filter bags, filter socks, filter sleeves, are made out by micron filter media by sewing or welding, it’s the filter element in a Bag Filter Housing. The micron filter bag could catch 85% – 95% of the rated particles from the fluid in a single pass.

Two types of FDA compliant filter media for our liquid filter bags are available, of which micron mesh is surface filtration, and micron felt is depth filtration.

1. Micron Mesh

The micron mesh filter media (nylon, polyester) have the regular and precise mesh opening to get absolute filter micron rate, it traps the impurities in the filter directly on the surface, which called surface filtration.

Advantage: Reusable after clean, economical, suitable for hard particle and lower precision, filter fineness from 5um-1200um.
Disadvantage: Filtering holes are easily blocked cause filtering speed decrease.

2. Micron Felt

The Micron Felt filter media (Polypropylene and PET non-woven) is deep filtration material. It’s in loose fiber structure, the high void ratio increases the carrying capacity, so be able to catch large particle on the surface, while fine particles are trapped in the deep layer.

Advantage: Higher filtration efficiency, suitable for higher precision, filter fineness 0.1um-200um.
Disadvantage: One-off.

  • Filter rating: Nominal Filtration.
  • Close Method: Ultrasonic welding or thread sewing.
  • Precision: 0.5um-200um.
  • Top Ring: PP flange ring, PE flange ring, Stainless Steel ring, Galvanized Steel ring. Snap band.
  • Filtering Efficiency: 90% in a single pass.
  • Surface treatment: Singed and calendered smooth surface, no free fiber.
  • Material grade: Compliance with FDA food grade requirements, no silicon, and other contaminants.
  • High flow rate, low-pressure drop.
  • Extensive chemical compatibility, Synthetic Fiber Chemical Properties Table.
  • The optimum replacement pressure is 0.10mpa, and the maximum is 0.18mpa.
